  • An Inis Thiar (Inis Oírr/Inishere) family walking on the shore. Both the parents are wearing homespun clothes. The child standing partially hidden by the mother’s skirts is wearing an Aran cap. The toddler in her mother’s arms appears to be wearing only one sock and holding a stick in her right hand.(Identification supplied by Micheál Ó Conaola’s son Dara Ó Conaola)Micheál Ó Conaola (d. c 1932), with his wife Máire Uí Chonaola, née Ní Chualain (d. c 1934). She is holding her son Padraic Ó Conaola (d. 1969). The child standing partially hidden by his mother’s skirts is Micheál Ó Conaola (d. 1965).
