- IE TCD MS 368 contains a Latin translation by Iohannes [Joannes] Hispalensis (John of Seville) of the introductory work on astronomy entitled Introductorius ad magisterium iudiciorum astrorum, originally written in Arabic by Alcabitius [ʻAbd al-ʻAzīz Ibn ʻUthmān]. It also contains numerous other astronomical and astrological entries, including:Folios 1-34v: Alcabitius, Liber Introductorius, tr. Iohannes Hispalensis.Folios 35-36: Short pieces, chiefly about astronomy (added in second half of 15th century).Folio 37: De Iudicio Alicuius Questionis.Folios 37-39: Abraham Ibn Ezra, Tractatus De 13 Maneriebus Planetarum, tr. Petrus de Abano.Folios 39v-40v: Abraham Ibn Ezra, De Significationibus Planetarum, tr. Petrus de Abano. Folio 41: Astrological table headed: Ex quadam summa. The table is arranged under subheadings: ffleubotomia, ffarmacia, Cirurgia, Confecciones. Below the table are notes pertinent to the table.Folio 42v: Short piece about the kinds of death according to the signs of zodiac.Folios 43-137v: Hermannus De Carinthia and/or Hugo Sanctallensis, Liber Trium Iudicum, an astrological compilation56-137v. [Omar?], De Iudiciis Astrorum.MS note in pencil on endleaf [d] states foliation was corrected in ‘June 1963: iii + 137.’ Binding executed for the College in 1741-1744 by the shop of John Exshaw of Dublin in speckled-calf.
