  • Clondalkin Breviary. Folios 1-78v: Temporale, beg. imperf. in service for St John, 27 December: uirgo in euum perman . Losses of text on 1-2v (these leaves partly torn away), almost nothing is left on unnumbered leaf following 1v (this leaf almost wholly torn away); loss of text on 47rv (top of leaf torn away). Included in this section are service for dedication of church (73v-77), canticles, blessings and instructions about them (78v). On 60v, among other feast days mentioned in a rubric: Translacio S. Patricii Columbe et Brigide. Inscriptions:-- 38 has 'william gibons' (deleted writing follows) 'amen'.-- 38v has letters of the alphabet. -- 41v has (a) 'To my loving frend John bath that I did give hime a god bok,' (b) 'William gibbons,' (c) 'Williame gibbons,' (d) 'John Byne.' -- 69 has 'John/bath/John.' -- 75v has 'by me william gibbons…' -- 78 has (a) 'John day,' (b) 'Nicolas doudall.'
