In pencil, top centre: ‘Descent of the Holy Ghost Church, Wilton, Cork.’ Clockwise around design: ‘8 stars to symbolise the beatitudes’; ‘Symbol St. Mark’; Symbol St. John’; ‘Symbol St. Luke’; ‘Symbol St. Matthew’. Bottom centre: ‘Rough sketch of proposed design’. Bottom left hand side: ‘Scale 1/2”=1 ft’; bottom right hand side: ‘Harry Clarke Studios Dublin.’Materials: Watercolour, ink and pencil on heavy cream coloured paper.The Clarke Studio Designs are a subsection of the Clarke Stained Glass Studios Collection, and contain stained glass designs, colour schemes, and opus sectile designs for stained glass work executed by the Clarke Studios, Dublin (Ireland) from 1894 to 1972.
