Advice as to how to get the charges on the estate reduced to their former level.2. Ensure proper accounting.3. Set the land only from year to year; rebuild his house “as fast as may be, and to encourage all men that will build in or about the town.” 4. Find out the true value of the towns and lands. 5. With may of the great “farms’ [mortgages?] their time is run out and the principal may be paid from the profits of the land. 6. Mr. West and others have encroached on several parcels of land. 7. With new leases, the tenants should be instructed to sow acorns, set plants(?) and quick sets, slate their houses, keep hounds for his lordship, etc. 8. “My old Lord made a sluice and a bridge for the draining of a great Lough, which since the rebellion is broken down.” How to get a grant to repair same.
