  • IE TCD MS 1403 is a single manuscript volume containing Keating's Three Shafts of Death, and Keating's History of Ireland. Extent: 133 folios. On the inner cover at the beginning is a copy of the poem Lá Dhá raibhe Fionn ag ól, 19 st. On fol. cvv v° is a copy of the pome Cuir srían le mo chorp a choimde, 16 st. with amhrán. On the inner cover at the end is a copy of the poem Sluagh seisir thainig dom thoig, 11st. Another poem: Dá mo galar ga bháltach, 6 st. These four poems are in the same hand.Old numbering by folios, beginning with fol. lvii and ends at fol. cxv r°. The History begins on fol. cxviii, and ends (incomplete) on fol. cxci. Down to fol. clxxii the volume is in the hand of Seán mac Torna O'Mulconry: the end is by another scribe. Further details in Dinneen's Keating ii, xxvii. At the end of the volume are 4 pp of memoranda, Latin and English, in a 17th century hand.
