  • IE TCD MS 2689, Traditions according to Mu'adh Ibn Jabal, a long acephalous manuscript on Fará'id [information from Professor B.G. Martin, 31 May 1974]. Colophon: Tammat al kitáb bi kátibihi wa sáhibihi al Mustafá Súrawí bin Muhammad fadálir assahh sawáwí ummuhu Bá Maryám Dhárawí. The provenance Northern Nigeria and the scribe's name is Mustafá Súrawí ben Muhammad Sawáwí [according tp Dr Jan Knappert 27 March 1968]. The manuscript was examined in 2012 by Prof. N. Dobronravin who identified the elements as follows: --1 (fols 1-6) Sufi ?cosmogony. --2 (fols 7-10) as beginning of section 3. --3 (fols 11-13) Hadith. --4 (fol 14) call to prayer (Adhain). --5 (fols 15-107) acephalous Risala (incomplete at end). --6 (fol 108-138) a poem by al-Háji Sálim [Suware]. --7 (fol 139) fa'ida fa ma'na 'lá iláha illá llaha' ... (Prose). Colophon al-'aqá'id. --8 (fol 140) addenda inserted in section 7. Tasbih al-Nalei Muhammad, followed by non-Arabic text. --9 (fols 141-144). --folio 145 is a paper wrapper. There are blank pages present at the end.Cowhide wrapper with hair on inside and string for securing.
