  • IE TCD MS 10853 is ‘A diary of the events in my life in the army September 1st 1914 - March 11th 1916' by William Raws, late rifleman, 1st 6th (Rifle) 6th Kings. Liverpool regiment. Folio i v has a pasted-in dedication to Sister M. Proctor; folio ii r has the signature of MI Keating, a former owner of this volume; folio iii r has the autograph signature of the author beneath a typed preface. Soiled green cloth boards with gilt spine labelling. A transcription of the diary is available below. Contents: Folio ii v: pasted-in photograph of William Raws, with MS ink caption 'in Dublin'. Folio iii r: Preface. Folio iv r: List of Chapters, as follows: 1. Joining (starts at folio 1r). 2. Training in Sefton Park and Liverpool (starts at folio 3r). 3.
