  • IE TCD MS 1634 is a volume, the first half of which contains selected writings (bani/Gurbani) from Guru Granth Sahib (a Sikh religious scripture) and Dasam Granth (the Book of the Tenth Guru, a religious text). The second half includes biographical account (janamsakhi) or religious diary of Guru Nanak (the founder of Sikh faith). The following is the list of writings as they appear in the volume. 1. Japji. --2. Sohila. --3. Chaupai. --4. Chaubis avtar. --5. Dakhni Onkar. --6. Sidh gosht. --7. Anad sahib. --8. Bavan akhri. --9. Janamsakhi. Written in Gurmukhi script. Small loose leaves found in this volume are now in M. 1. 1 (MS 1543) no 8 (not digitised). Up until 2017 this item was described in the Manuscripts & Archives Research Library catalogue as a copy of the Granth, the holy book of the Sikhs.
