  • IE TCD MS 112-113, Commentaries on Scripture. --Content: Theodoret of Cyrrus, Chapters on the Twelve Prophets, CPG 6208, PG 81, 1545-1988 (pp. 1-110); Niketas of Herakleia, Catena on the Psalter (pp. 111-198, l. 12). --Extent: Folios i-ii, pp. 1-198, 199-203. --Created: 16th century. -- Scribe: Single hand, unidentified. -- Materials: Western paper. --Style of script: the scribe writes in two styles: up to p. 110, he uses a more relaxed but still densely packed upright scholarly minuscule, occasionally slacking cursive as at p. 25, ll. 1-8; the need to fit in yet more text into the space available caused a considerable diminishment in the size of the script from p. 111 to p. 197, l. 22, when, being close to the end of the book, the previous style is resumed to complete the remaining text; the scribe ends his text in decreasing tail-ends that form triangular or semi-circular shapes, e.g. pp. 45, 85, 110; the similarity with the script of Demetrios Silligardos in Oxford, Bodleian Library, MS Barocci 189 does not warrant identity of hand. See D. Harlfinger, Repertorium griechischen Kopisten, 1. Teil: Handscriften aus Bibliotheken Grossbritanniens, 3 vols (Vienna, 1981), no. 102 (Sylligardos), A: p. 72; B: pp. 46-7; C: pl. 102 (MS Barocci 189, folio 1r: a. 1598, 80%). --Binding note: Stamped leather binding over pasteboards, 18th or 19th-century?; the geometrical lines are flanked by minute flowers; pastedowns in marbled paper, also glued to the back of the paper flyleaves; on p. 203, there is a word in large convoluted letters written just above the watermark; the spine displays five main sewing stations, between which is inserted the title of the book, longitudinally, in gilt letters: 'Theodoreti/Enarrationes/in minores/prophetas'.
