Abstract
  • Pap FF. 27: published in P Petrie1 III, 106 + unpublished fragment.. Pap FF. 27, papyrus fragments, from the Sir William Matthew Flinders Petrie (1853-1942) collection of papyri. Flinders Petrie was a British archaeologist and Egyptologist who, along with his wife Hilda (née Urlin, 1871–1957), excavated many of the most important archaeological sites in Egypt during the 19th and 20th centuries.See the descriptive list, available in the Manuscripts & Archives Research Library reading room, for further information on the Trinity College Dublin papyrus collection. The finding aid includes a list of TCD papyrus numberings, and published editions. It also notes J.G. Smyly's transcriptions, with a list of some of their former TCD numberings and locations. The list is based on a series of catalogue cards written by Herbert W. Parke, librarian; later continued and annotated by William O'Sullivan, keeper of manuscripts, and by Dr. Willy Clarysse, a leading Belgian papyrologist.
