Abstract
  • IE TCD MS 1209/17: A map of the Ulster counties, by Francis Jobson.A map of the Province of Ulster. Marked in the Ulster counties with family names, showing also The Brene [Breifne], Parte of Meathe [Meath] and Parte of the Barrony of Slane, and Parte of the Province of Connoughe [Connaught] and Parte of the Countie of Lowth [Louth] being parte of the province of Leomster (sic) [Leinster]. Copied in the Earl of Essex's time and is a smaller version of TCD MS 1209/15 [according to Dr. J.H. Andrews]. Features include a legend, an orientation star; a coat of arms and a golden harp.
