Cromwell: family and estate papers. Item 22

Abstract
  • No. 22, pages 93-96. Lisnegarvy, 27 July 1640. Original, with seal. Letter of the Bishop of Down to Lord Cromwell. He will try to obtain for Lord Cromwell half a buck from Mr. Rawdon. Hopes he has received the £200 sent. He cannot raise the remaining £100 but perhaps Mr. Ward (who owes him £400 for his cousin Russell) would pay it on his behalf. Urges Cromwell to have the Bishop of Derry’s order confirmed by the Board more trouble from the Dean (who claims tihes also claimed by the Bishop).
